6:57 pm - Quick little update...
Go!

I'm living in Champaign now. It's good times.

After a couple weeks of looking, I got a job! I'm working at Wolfram Research; they make this little program called Mathematica--maybe you've heard of it? ;)

Wedding plans are progressing...we're slowly approaching ready.

There's pizza that's cooking for us as we speak...update over!

current mood: nearly pizza-ed

This is, most probably, my final LiveJournal entry from Rolla.
Kind of sad, but I have a life to look forward to.

6:08 pm - o.0??
Go here: Huh??

Tell me what you see under the section named Surviving bows, last (fourth) bullet point.
I know that bows may have been called many things in the past, but this seems.....dubious--and unexplained!

current mood: incredulous??

4:15 pm - :)
Thanks, everyone who wished me a happy birthday yesterday!

It was an ok birthday, but it would've been a bunch better if I didn't have to worry about all of these projects coming due.

I just got done with my very last concert, so I'm going to go be sad for a little bit.

2:47 pm - Is this week over yet????
So, in less than an hour, I'm going to take my second of three tests this week. I also had a program and oodles of homework due this week.
Nothing really spectacular happened this week...except the graphic, bloody vanquishing of the prime source of all that is evil at my hands! But really, nothing much.

2:18 pm - Truly dorky moment!
So, the other day, I was walking to physics when I saw these three girls walking a ways off. They probably wouldn't have caught my eye, except that their clothing was rather bright. In fact, they were each wearing a different combination of the colors (and no colors except) white, black, cyan, and magenta. The first thing that came to my head was,

"The hell? That's a walking CGA monitor."

Hahaha, that's funny to me.

current mood: dorky

3:00 am - ...Hey, is this thing on?
So...I wish that somewhere in the midst of my 21 credit hours of school, ; blah, blah, blah. Screw it, I'll update when I want, and I'm not gonna apologize about it!

So, 21 credit hours. Sucks.

Everything* in a flash:
Watched The Colbert Report tonight. Priceless. Highly recommended, as that man is comical genius.
Had an orchestra concert last Thursday. Someone else's dad told me that he always likes to watch me play because I play with a lot of heart. That always feels good.
Concert was led off with Fanfare...Common Man by the brass, which is always an excellent piece of American goodness. Then chamber strings (including myself) played Haydn's Farewell Symphony, which was followed closely by an intermission. After that, everyone played Haydn's Clock Symphony. Amazing piece of music. Next was Rimsky-Korsakov's Capriccio Espagnol. Quick, fun little piece.
*: by everything, I evidently meant a single event from tonight and my orchestra concert last week.

Now, I'm off to bed faster than, you guessed it, Chiktikka Fastpaws!

current mood: sick and tired...both literal
current music: Haydn, Franz Josef - Symphony #101 in D "Clock"--4. Finale. Vivace

3:02 pm - I guess opposites DO attract...
INFP - the Healer
You scored 9% I to E, 5% N to S, 9% F to T, and 68% J to P!
You are more introverted than extroverted. You are more intuitive than observant, you are more feeling based than thinking based, and you prefer to go with the flow rather than having a plan. Your type can best be summarized by the word "Healer", which belongs to the larger group of idealists. You have a capacity for caring that is deeper than most. You strive for unity, are fascinated by the battles between good and evil, and can be something of an idealist. Only 1% of the population shares your type.
As a romantic partner, you are usually supprtive and nuturing, however, you have a high need for individuality. Harmony is extremely important to you as you are very affected by conflict and tension, which also makes you resist confronting your partner directly about problems. When you get angry, you usually blame yourself, rather than your partner. You can also be stubborn and unyielding when you feel you are being criticized or mistreated. You feel the most appreciated when your partner listens to you carefully. You need to be understood. You need to hear your partner express their feelings, the more often, the better. Your group summary: idealists (NF)
Your type summary: INFP

1:38 pm - Bored.
-.-

You are Bored. Your life is in a slump, and it seems like there's nothing you can do about it.
You wonder if there's a greater reason for it all, but then you lie down and go to sleep...only to wake up and repeat the cycle again.
Try to pick yourself up; there's more to life than loafing.
By the way, you have a meeting soon with your project group. Stop goofing off and go.

What emotion are you?

Ok, so I totally just made that up. The link? Totally fake. Totally. 127% fake. Eat me, statisticians.

2:22 pm - Oh....my....
Haha, I was browsing through a forum on religious views on the UMR Forums, and I ran across this link. Absolutely priceless.
Link.
It's a video file, though (about 4 min). It will stream, but if you happen to be in a place with not so much bandwidth, I suggest maybe waiting until you get somewhere that has enough.

12:14 pm - Arrrrrggghhhhh
I had three programs due last week--one last thursday, and two last friday. The thursday one and one of the friday ones were for the same class; in fact, the two programs were pretty similar. Since I was working on both of them at the same time, I guess I got a little confused. I turned in the thursday one after working a bunch on the other one that was due Friday (I guess). The one that was due on Thursday was in a dramatic state of disrepair...it didn't work in the least! But I got confused and turned it in anyway. So the other day I got the grade back for it and realized my mistake...it didn't go well......at all.
On a brighter note, the other program that I turned in for that class (the friday one) was pretty decent, so it balanced out the other one a little bit...I guess.

current mood: flabbergasted

6:14 pm - Whew!
Exciting...in a not so good way. So I was driving home last night and...well, my poor little car totally eradicated a deer. I don't know what went through my head, but it was weird. I saw the deer's eyes shining in my lights, then I braked, but I knew I was going to hit it. I've always thought to myself that if I were going to hit a deer, I would want to duck down in the seat to avoid the hooves that could potentially be moving straight toward my head. But, I didn't duck. I didn't yell, or even make any sound at all. I just hit the deer, probably blinked for a second or two, and then pulled over and called my parents. Luckily, my poor car still works ok (although I'm pretty sure I can't say the same for the poor deer), the hood is a little buckled, and the driver's side headlight cover is cracked a little; I was still about 20 miles north of Columbia, and it would've been a long night had my car not worked. So, I don't know. The shock of my brush with death hasn't quite sunk in, I suppose, and perhaps it never will.

Here's a rather morbid but interesting (and hopefully unrelated!) question: if you knew you were going to die tomorrow and there was absolutely nothing you could do to stop it, would you sleep tonight? Would you try to make the most of what little time was left and try to see everything you could, or would you treasure the comfort of sleep more than any little pleasure the world could give for a day? As a possible extension to that question, what, if you chose to stay awake all night long, would you do?

current mood: calm

11:03 am - Hahaha
Hahaha, I love the bullshit that comes out of governmental ignorance. So, for the election last November, I registered here in Rolla to vote, but I had registered back in e'ville too. When I registered here, they were supposed to let e'ville know to take me off their list, or something. Well, that didn't happen, and I thought it was interesting that I could've gone back home and voted for my second time in the same day. Oh, but the fun doesn't start there! It wasn't like they already had my card registered and didn't get it out in time before the elections last time, because I got another card saying I was registered AGAIN in Illinois. Maybe I actually will vote twice come elections. Hell, maybe I'll go up to Iowa and register there.

12:22 am - Time...and punishment!
In starting, I, Ras...er, Brian, would like to declare that this weekend went by far too fast. However, every time I look at my watch, it always seems to be earlier than I expect. It almost feels like I slept through an entire day and everyone is just lying to me about the date.

If you find that you've lied to me about the date, you may consider taking a permanent vacation to a nondisclosed locale where my carefully crafted plans for destruction cannot touch you and your falsehoods.

I, in my infinite mercy, have mandated that this phenomenon cannot be explained without the introduction of untruths reaching my ears. This being decided, heads shall roll for their impunity. Their owners. Not the heads themselves. Well, I suppose that the heads themselves actually created and spoke the falsehoods, so, by extension, the heads have been impune (?) as well. Very well, I hereby declare that any heads of ragamuffins who've lied to me about the date which have heads of their own shall be relieved of their heads' heads in a rolling off fashion, after which the primary heads of those who have hereby spoken these falsehoods about the date to me shall be removed from their original locations in such fashions as to promote rolling actions. I shall hear the stories of those who feel they are innocent and, if I find you innocent by my judgement, ye shall be saved from the blade.

If not....I declare ye boned.
